The Breastfeeding Cafe meets at Bushel & Peck’s, the 3nd Wednesday of every month, 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The Breastfeeding Cafe is an ongoing series of meetings for breastfeeding moms and moms-to-be. These relaxed, informal, drop-in sessions provide breastfeeding moms with information, support, encouragement, education, and the often much-needed socialization.
Pregnant and new moms can meet other experienced, local nursing moms and ask questions about nursing, adjusting family life, pumping, going back to work, starting solids, or any other concerns they may have.
A trained, accredited breastfeeding counselor is on hand, along with an information library and a small lending library of books especially for breastfeeding families. These sessions provide each mom with a range of ideas to choose from so that she can pick those that appeal to her and her family.
